MOWGLI WILD WOOL RUG
This beautiful Wild Crafted, felt backed (not leather) Wool Rug is from one of my boys called MOWGLI. He is a kind gentle soul and is always one of the first at the gate to greet me each day. I raised him from a lamb when he was rejected by his mother. He's 5 years old now and still as loveable. Sheep have good memories!
The nature of these rugs means they look like sheepskins, but the sheep is still alive in my flock and munching away on pasture to grow next years fleece for me. I use the ancient felting technique (I teach this method in workshops and online) to create a strong, resilient yet flexible backing which is just as hardy as leather in many ways.
On the long fleece side It is soft, fluffy and an enchanting myriad of colours from cream, tan, blonde and autumn copper/auburn.
The rug is large coming in at: 150 cm x 130cm. In terms of thicknes it's medium/thick, therefore this is perfect for snuggling into on your bed or sofa, fireside or light footfall lounge rug.
Because these are hand made and natural felted fleeces they respond differently to the felting process. Each fleece has it's own individual characteristics in texture, sheen, lock length and density. Some fleeces will also shed more than others, which is normal. They will give you many years of use. This rug is pure wool, no leather, and the sheep is still alive.
The rugs and felts have an essence of nature about them. They are wild, rugged and yet incredibly soft, warm and durable. They reflect the colours of the Earth in all its diversity and therefore every item is bespoke and individual with no two being the same, focusing on organic and environmentally friendly creation.

CARE
The wild wool rugs are handmade using 100% pure, organically raised wool and crafted using organic methods and natural, chemical free soap. Sponge clean or soak overnight in eco wash detergent, then drip dry.
DO NOT put in the washing machine or agitate too much or the rug will felt into a ball!

Each rug is unique and made to my highest standards. All items leave my care in excellent condition and due to the nature of my business i do not offer returns or refunds.

I do combine postage on multiple items if it is not done automatically at checkout I will refund you any overcharges after checkout.
Post Packaging- In an effort to be more eco-friendly most of the outer post packaging I send items in is re-used aka recycled packaging that we have received parcels in ourselves or that has been gifted to me to put to good use.
OVERSEAS BUYERS- will incur an extra postage charge which may vary depending on location including the newly imposed duty of 10/20% placed on goods coming into the USA. I am not responsible for any charges added by customs in your country.
PLEASE NOTE> I send tracked within the UK and parcels are covered for the full cost of the rug. Anyone buying from outside the UK - The parcels leave my hands with tracking using Royal Mail or similar carrier service. I am not responsible for any parcels going overseas which are lost or damaged but i will do my best to remedy the situation. So buying is at your own risk.
