SCORPIO WILD FELTED WOOL RUG

SCORPIO is a spectcular, once in a blue moon fleece, that i harvested from one of my young wethers last year. He grew the most beautiful lambswool full of spiral silver and copper curls, this truly is a hard one to let go of! This boy is still with me and as always the fleece has changed again this year to a darker silver and black fleece. (soon to be sheared) The water colours are a enchanting mix of silver /grey locks, with brown, copper, fawn tips.
 
The size is LARGE and will easily cover a double bed or sofa, or a centrepiece for a yurt or shepherds hut, wall hanging or cosy fireplace setting . The rug is 130 cm x 120cm. This rug is very dense, thick and robust so will withstand any area of the house or campervan, boat or caravan. 
 
 
Because these are hand made and natural felted fleeces they respond differently to the felting process. Each fleece has it's own individual characteristics in texture, sheen, lock length and density. Some fleeces will also shed more than others, which is normal. They will give you many years of use. This rug is pure wool, no leather, and the sheep is still alive. 
 
 
The rugs and felts have an essence of nature about them. They are wild, rugged and yet incredibly soft, warm and durable. They reflect the colours of the Earth in all its diversity and therefore every item is bespoke and individual with no two being the same, focusing on organic and environmentally friendly creation.
